Titled “Brewster’s Bat”, this painting was commissioned by supporters for Brewster McCracken for his Austin, Texas mayoral campaign. The bat was put on bumperstickers by Bumper Active of Austin, TX.

This painting is inspired by the crystal clear, churning waters coming from Barton Springs that flow under the footbridge on Town Lake (Ladybird Lake) in Austin, Texas. There is a small stone marker located on the west side of the bridge with “1mi.” chiseled on the face.
